Welcome to the second installment of live blogging. The first, of course, being the 2006 Miss America pageant. It was fun, and I’m sure this occasion will be no different.
The best channel to watch this on in order to avoid unwanted remarks is definitely C-SPAN, which you can actually watch live on the web.
I’ll try to keep it light and fun… maybe…
7:50 – I got the mouse in my right hand, and a Diet Dr. Pepper in the left… let’s get this show on the road.
7:59 – The First Lady just walked in… I love her.
8:02 – Fun Fact: There is a gas mask underneath every seat on the floor of the House. (Stupid teenagers think it’s funny to pick them up when you take them on tours of the Capitol… and then we yell at them)
8:06 – This is my favorite part… all the suck-ups line-up get on camera while shaking the President’s hand…
8:07 – There he is…
8:08 – Who’s the tubby looking fellow that keeps taking pictures?
8:09 – It’s loud in there…
8:11 – Awww, a tribute to Corretta Scott King…
8:13 – “…the state of our union is strong…”
8:15 – When Bush says “terror” it sounds like terrrrrr. I like it… he’s from the South.
8:17 – TV NOTE: C-SPAN and FOX News feeds are faster than MSNBC and CNN… fyi
8:19 – Oooooooo, some of the silly Democrats didn’t want to stand when he said: “We will fight to keep our fredom.”
8:20 – Hey, there’s John Kerry! He lost.
8:22 – Bush: “We are winning.” The Democrats did not like that…
8:23 – WOW. Quote: “Hindsight alone is not wisdom…” OUCH.
8:24 – Anybody else just see that woman with the crazy scarf? I like it!
8:28 – OK… that letter he just read from the soldier was pretty awesome… support that Cindy Sheehan! (I’m getting carried away)
8:29 – I like how the commentor below “don’t like bush” feels so strongly about his viewpoints… but won’t use his real name.
8:30 – Uh-Oh… he’s about to go OFF on Iran…
8:33 – “don’t like bush” just replied: “ok my name is sam. you happy?”
Wow… I don’t know many “Sam’s”… thanks for the detail. Just pickin’ on you Sam. Welcome… pull up a chair and grab a cupcake…
8:35 – I like it… he said talkin’… that whole rant almost seemed unscripted… Hillary just shook her head… wonder where Bill is?
8:37 – 4.6 Million new jobs created… more than Japan and the EU combined. Take that left wing… (and Sam)
8:41 – Bush: “The deficit will be cut in half by 2009.” That is also when I will pay off my credit card bill…
8:42 – My response to Sam’s comment: What’s wrong with money? How ’bout this: next paycheck you get… give it all back to the Government. There’s no need for you to keep it. You don’t believe in building wealth, silly!
8:46 – I think it’s funny that they show Hillary everytime they mention Prez Clinton… she’s pissed.
8:49 – Bush pushes environment and cleaner air. I love breathing… I do it all the time.
8:51 – Sam… the “Admistrator’s” name is Landon. Hence: LandonHowell.com.
8:53 – There! There’s the woman in the scarf again!
8:54 – Wow… he’s just back-handed “gay marriage” judges… but if those judges dig guys, they probably enjoyed it.
8:56 – Bush: No human cloning.
8:57 – Yeaaaaa! Laura! (Where are your daughters? Tell Barb I said hey!)

Lando – sorry I missed the live blogging. Sounds like you were right on. You did miss the part when POTUS started talking about last year’s Social Security agenda and the entire Democrat side of the room stood up and started yelling like five year olds. I hope everyone in the country saw that and thought it was as tasteless as I did. Go Bush! I freaking love him!
