This was the #1 video on YouTube last night.
Mississippi College jumps to #4 in the D3 Top 25.
That’s all I’m gonna say. I’m going to jinx, I just know it.
Like most Southerners, I’m always interested to see how we perform when the national spotlight is cast upon us. This factor is even greater when our home town comes into play. While I grew up 30 minutes from the ‘Ham… I, like most Alabamians, love Birmingham and look at it as a second home. Seeing as I was at a concert last night, I didn’t get to catch any of the American Idol tryouts.
How did Birmingham look on American Idol?
Ever more important… how did FOX make us look?
Don’t you just love it the morning after a great concert when you wake up and your ears are still ringing?
Molly Shaw (who’s, sadly, leaving her nursing post in Seattle and headed home to Mississippi tomorrow) attended the Keane concert with me last night downtown at the Paramount Theater.
Easily one of top 5 my favorite bands of the last couple years. Rocco Deluca opened up… wonderful as well. You’ll be hearing a good bit (perhaps too much) of their song ‘Colorful’ [listen here] over the next few weeks.
Here’s a video from Keane. Oh… they don’t use guitars. Very creative.
While we’d like to endorse the team that narrowly beat our team in the NFC playoffs… pictures like this give us reason to opt out of supporting Da Bears.
Around these parts, we genuinely like Peyton Manning. Aside from being one heck of a quarterback, Manning is one of the few athletes that can actually act in the commercials which he stars.
So we say, “Go Colts!” Even though last year’s endorsement of the Seahawks proved fatal.
Over the weekend the blog hit a milestone: the 100,000th visitor
A hat tip to those of you who make the pilgrimage to the blog on a daily basis for heaping helping of links, comments, videos, and Republican propaganda.
I once again thank you for reading along. The blog has truly become something I’ve looked forward to doing as I’ve posted almost every day for the last 15 months.
Thank you for you contributions, your encouragement, and the non-stop questions about the release of Eurosix. (It’s coming. Patience.)
Just in case you haven’t seen this yet.

If you’re looking for something to rent this weekend, I highly recommend Children Of Men. I watched it last night as re-runs ran all over DirecTV. The movie wasn’t hyped enough in the U.S. However, it’s one heck of a movie. The trailer is below.
I never had one divx big blue the , but I always wanted one.
So I watched Little Miss Sunshine last night… can, uh… anybody tell me what gives this picture the potential to be the best picture of the year?
I mean… it was ok. The last scene at the pageant was hilarious… but other than that it was… well… just a movie.
Best picture? Come on.
…any thought?
An incredible ending to the Division II National Championship between Barton and Winona State.
We still like this one, but the the following video is simply classic.
