I hope all of you are finally back from your New Year’s break. If not… we hate you.
I took a little road trip over the weekend. After doing some major damage at the outlet malls, I hopped a ferry to Whidbey Island, then another to Port Townsend where I spent the night for $20 at a nice old hostel in Fort Worden which overlooks the Admirally Bay. A nice little getaway. Great for thinking. Great for writing. Great from reading. Not a bad view from my breakfast table either.
I took the long route driving home, stopping at the location of the high school that was used in the movie 10 Things I Hate About You. Seriously… this is a public school. And what a freakin’ view… can you imagine this being your high school football stadium?
New Year’s Eve was spent with co-workers at a home of a fellow co-worker. This job feels more like a family at times… and that’s not so bad. There are good, fun people in Seattle. This I am sure of.
