Alcatraz At Night

Our first night in San Francisco we took a night tour of Alcatraz.

Very. Spooky.

It wasn’t so bad at first, but as the sun set and the temperature dropped, an eerie feeling covered the island. We were one of the last couples to head back down the hill to catch the last boat of the night, so we were privy to what could only be described as the most beautiful view accompanied by the most deafening silence.

I few of you have been so kind as to inquire about our weekend jaunt to San Frannisco and the Nappa Valley. I was a little pooped upon my return last night… plus, I practically did without my laptop for 5 days, so I’ve got a lot to catch up on. Hopefully I will have a full report and some pictures sometime tomorrow.

…and yes… I missed you yesterday and Friday. I must admit that I felt a little guilty for leaving you at your desks without anything to distract you.

    It’s Been A Long Time…

Food of the GodsFor the first time since December 27, I was able to partake of the chicken delicacy known as Chick-fil-A.

After we secured our trip a few weeks back, I knew from my research that unlike the Pacific Northwest, California has Chick-fil-A’s scattered about. I found one that was “on our way” back from Nappa Valley to the Bay Area. It was tucked away into a suburban mall. But heck… they could have been serving it out of shoe boxes at a road-side stand and I wouldn’t have complained.

They biggest surprise: they actually served sweet tea. (Do they serve sweet tea at every location?)

Anyway… no, I didn’t bring a few sandwiches back to put into the freezer for a rainy day. I figure that’s taking a chance, and that Chick-fil-A is a dish served best hot… with waffle fries… and sweet tea… and an Ice Dream… and a fudge nut brownie… and maybe a milkshake… the cookies-n-cream kind.

Oh, Chick-fil-A Northwest Franchise Expansion… why hast thou foresaken me?

    Question:

Seeing as mine lasted 5 days… it’d be stretching it to call it a “weekend.” What’s everybody do over Memorial Day Weekend?

If You’re Going To San Francisco
    posted on May 24 2007

Well, I’m outta here for few days. We’ll be spending Memorial Day weekend in San Francisco and the wine country of Sonoma/Nappa Valley. I’ve been to both places once before, but those of you who’ve visited know that it requires a couple of trips to soak everything in.

I leave first thing tomorrow morning and I’ll get back late Tuesday night, so you’re left to entertain yourselves over the next 5 days. I’ll try to post a couple things along the way… though this is vacation, so I’ll try to stay away from the laptop as much as possible. I’ll also be taking pictures… we’ll see what develops (ba da bum!).

To prepare ourselves for this, here’s a link to the intro to Full House. Danny Tanner was the man.

Have a fun, safe weekend, everybody.

Ok… I don’t know where to begin on LOST.

Yeah, there’s just way too much to dig into here. Check out the episode recap, and then dig into the easter eggs.

    …yeah, I don’t know where to begin.

So, I have a trusted inside source who has actually read the script from tonights’ episode of LOST. This source stated:

“Let’s just say that when they say everything will change… it does.
And I can tell you that LOST as we know it may be over as this next level of story unfolds…”

Sorry… the sun isn’t setting until post-9:30 PM in Seattle… so, sitting inside doesn’t really suit me right now. I’m being much more productive by reminding myself how bad I am at basketball by slinging shots at our court next door.

Anyways, I’m off topic. How is American Idol going to shape out?
