    Well… that pretty much sucked.

I’ve heard that we actually got on ESPN after Southern’s first touchdown. Well… all of me, half of Chelsea (which is a shame, because I look like Will Ferrel’s ugly twin).

It was as fun as a game can be when you lose 38-16… but worth the trip. We just couldn’t get anything going, and by the time we did our QB left with an ankle injury.

Ahhhhh… such is college football. At least they weren’t a conference team.

Boise State has now won 39 consecutive home games and 51 of their last 52. It’s no secret once you visit… their home-field advantage is like nothing I’ve ever seen. And you wanna talk about color coordination? Each section wears a different color — very impressive.

If you feel like rubbing-in our loss, go ahead, you know it’ll piss me off. But just remember: I don’t have to work today…and you do.

    Happy Friday.

    Idaho? Udaho!

Right now we’re in Boise, ID for the biggest match-up since Charlie vs Lucy for Boise State vs Southern Miss; two programs standing behind the “mid-major program” side of the tracks… wanting so desperately to be seen as Top 25 regular. It’s fun to be a part of.

Look for us on ESPN tonight. We’ll be in the sea of gold. For better or for worse, I’ll be yelling… so listen intently as well.

Boise State has won 38 straight regular season home games, and 50 of their last 51 regular season home games… this should be interesting.

So tomorrow on the bloggie, don’t talk about the season openers that run tonight. The TiVo awaits our return.

    Southern Miss… TO THE TOP!!!

…and this is how we get ourselves fired up I get myself acting like an idiot in a pregame peptalk the hotel just before we leave, while I’m brushing my teeth.

    Already?

I know this might sound weird… but is it already TV season again? The Office, My Name Is Earl, and Grey’s Anatomy all premier tonight. I’m sure there are other shows, but some of us chose to read a book or go outside or interact with people or something.

Wanna work for Dunder Mifflin? Or maybe grab some Dunder Mifflin gear?

Blog reader/commenter/lawyer and Jasper native Drew Thornley was recently interviewed by the Texas Public Policy Foundation on Al Gore’s An Inconvenient Truth.

It’s only 9 minutes long and worth every minute. For every person that doesn’t listen to it, I’ll fly one lap around the world in my private jet.

  • Boise Bound
    posted on Sep 26 2007

We’re packing up our stuff and headed for Boise, Idaho in the morning for the Thursday night ESPN match-between Southern Miss and Boise State.

I love Boise State. After watching what I consider one of the most entertaining football games last January, the Broncos pretty much won over every non-Sooner fan in the nation.

Anyways. Look for us in the stands on TV Thursday night. I’ll be the idiot in yellow.

    State Can Thank Spurrier
    posted on Sep 26 2007

Well… turns out that our Christmas star was actually a light on the sewage treatment plant.

It just so happens that the 1… single… only vote cast for Mississippi State in last week’s Top 25 poll was cast by this week’s rival coach, Steve Spurrier.

This comes on the heels of the readers of lh.com getting super-pumped about the Dogs (or ‘Dawgs) jump to 3-1 in the Maroon Bet. (Oh… THERE you are, Peter!)

“They deserve to be in probably as much as anybody,” Spurrier said, according to the Greenville News. “They’ve got a good defense, run the ball well. The way we’ve been trying to stop the run, we could be in trouble if they start rolling up and down the field.”

    …I bite my tongue.

    A Change Of Address
    posted on Sep 24 2007

needleAfter 13 months at my current residence on top of Queen Anne Hill in Seattle, I’m moving… a few blocks north-by-northwest. Close enough to hardly change my daily schedule, but far enough to make it a pain in the butt to actually move my stuff.

I surely will not be posting my information online, though if you’d like it for wedding invites/thank you notes/birthday cards, just shoot me an email and i will be more than happy to provide it.
