In reply to Obama’s acceptance speech.
Anybody else watching the NC State-vs-South Caroline game last night think that Jesse Palmer’s tie was too short?
While Obama was busy McCain-bashing last night… McCain ran this ad during the Democratic Convention.
Class.
I didn’t see last night’s speech. We were at dinner with some friends from LA, and I didn’t even get home until 11 PM. So… I’ll say this:
So if after last night you decided you will vote for Obama, please do so for reasons greater than “I hate Republicans” or “George Bush sucks” or “gas is too” high. Vote for him because you honestly believe in your heart of hearts, beyond the shadow of a doubt he is the better than John McCain. That his 143 days served in Washington (the number of days Obama was a Senator before he announced his candidacy for President) he learned all he ever needed to know — compare that to McCain’s 26 years in DC. If you can still vote for Obama… go for it; we could be in worse hands.
…62 days until Election Day.
The first Nike Human Race (get it?!?!) is being held this Sunday in cities all over the world.
It’s a 10K, and considering that (aside from your typical ‘get in shape before the wedding’ routine) I’m not a runner, and I think I’m going to end up having my a$$ handed to me while Chelsea finishes in record time.
We’ll be running in Vancouver, and I hope some of you might be running elsewhere for one of the three causes.
College Football season is here. I can’tbelieveitcan’tbelieveitcan’tbelieveit.
Clay Travis has a great piece on Deadspin about the most wonderful time of the year.
I can’t believe it’s heeeeeeeeeeeere! [Unabashedly bouncing in his seat, knowing his friends are doing the same thing at work right now.]

My future brother-in-law Danny Dossett and his wife Candi welcome their first child into the world this morning around 7 AM in Hattiesburg, MS.

Of all the crazy, right-wing, nut job videos which will be released during the political season… this one is pretty much factual and very, very underplayed.

All you OC fans can rejoice… the first season is on Hulu for your viewing pleasure.
Chelsea created this little map for reference points for those headed down to our wedding.
I’m as sad as you are that the Olympics are over. Over the weekend I confessed to Chelsea that at the end of the 1992 and 1996 Olympics, I cried. It’s funny, I know. I love the Olympics and I love my country.
Want to go the the 2010 Winter Olympics in Vancouver? Get in line… the American line.
Tickets to the Opening Ceremonies: $1,200
I don’t care how much I dislike the guy or his politics… I would never want this to happen.
