The worst season in Mariners history is done: 61-101

Nobody expected this on Opening Day.

{ We had fun eating BBQ, hotdogs, and garlic fries all season…. so we can’t complain. }

Photo Website

Folks have inquired about purchasing photos I take. I never take pictures with the thought of ever selling them, but Seattle’s an expensive city to live in, so I thoughtwhattheheckwhynot?

LandonHowellPhotography is a site I have owned for a while now in the case that I ever decided to sell anything. Now I’ve made them publicly available for sale on Etsy.

Thus far 23 photos have been posted and 5 have been sold… it freaks me out that 4 of those hang in homes of people I’ve never met. Elizabeth Barge (college buddy and blog read) purchased another last week after inquiring about obtaining one that wasn’t posted. So know that any are available for purchase if they ever catch your eye.

If you ever have any questions about photos or obtaining one you’ve seen, feel free to contact me.

{ By the way: Some of you have asked about the book that was to be released a few months back. Long story short: the book was complete, my laptop was stolen, I didn’t have a back-up copy. Yikes. }

A very tough week for the Pinelake Church community: Steve Goff died unexpectedly last Friday while visiting family in Colorado.

Steve is the father of Ashleey Goff Pettus, wife of Jonathan Pettus. Both are MC alumnus and are close friends of mine.

- Obama dodged his attacks brilliantly.

- McCain looked smug. He never looked Obama in the eye.

- I spent more time looking at the ‘audience reaction’ meter on CNN than I did the candidates. It was addictive.

- McCain has the more experience of the two (that’s a fact and denying it is ignorance) but Barack put things into a simple language…not jargon like McCain. John McCain has to step away from his elite speech.

- Obama gets overly defense when he’s attacked. This shows insecurity. When he’s President it will be entertaining to watch his stock in the media fall as they fall out of love with him as he holds his grudges.

- McCain snidely giggles when he’s personally attacked. This shows confidence, which borders over-confidence, which borders cockiness. It’s a dangerous game.

- McCain is right on almost every issue… he simply goes about articulating it improperly.

- Obama says ‘uh’ more than most might realize.
