A university committee, established by MUW President Claudia Limbert, has been taking suggestions and will narrow the prospects in coming months. The group is scheduled to meet in January.

Personally I think that The W. Eudora Welty University would sound very upstanding and appealing if they would drop the “The W.” and go with Eudora Welty University.

   Eudora Welty University sounds great, and it can still be called The W.

   I think they should call it Welty University. Kind of like Millsaps. Also, Tennessee Williams was born in Columbus. I like Welty-Williams University, too.
