Southern Miss just picked up one of the best running backs in the nation. A prospect who picked the Eagles over Ole Miss, Auburn, Mississippi State, and Oregon (Oregon? Really? There are no fast African Americans in Oregon you could have spent more time chasing?)
As is tradition when the big schools lose out on a top prospect to a “lowly” mid-major, their fans quickly backtrack their on their previous comments which praised these prospects in Obama-like fashion. I found out about Hardy’s signing via mobile phone Saturday whilst en route to Canada. It was highly entertaining to return to my laptop on Saturday night to witness the “he wasn’t ever Ole Miss material” and “as good as his talent is, his grades are just as bad” conversations on the message boards of those schools mentioned above.
If only we all could be so lucky to have athletes who were Ole Miss material.

I worked at a church down there for about three years and have some connections with the high school and parents and whatnot…
Apparently Ole Miss wanted him bad… but for some reason(the coach urged him to hold out) they eventually back off.
That’s obviously heresay, but I heard if from multiple outlets down there.
Regardless he’s a big time commit.
