Long story short (for anyone who doesn’t know and slightly cares):
I love Chick-fil-A at a level most would deem unhealthy. The closest Chick-fil-A to Seattle is 612.54 miles away — that was, until Chick-fil-A opened up a Chick-fil-A Express on the campus of Western Washington University, just 2 hours north of Seattle.
We decided to take a day trip to Canada last weekend, planning to swing by Western Washington University (WWU) en route to Vancouver.
Picture the sad person I am: staring at the GPS all along the way… 95 miles to WWU… 36 miles to WWU… 1.5 miles to WWU. It was like I was a 4-year-old child on Christmas Eve.
Martin Luther King had a dream. A dream that one day all races would be equal.
Well, Dr. King… I too had a dream. A dream that I would eat Chick-fil-A for the first time in 1 month. A dream that a Chick-fil-A in the state of Washington might just be more than a dream… an actual reality. That dream was squashed as WWU decided to close their Student Union over the weekend which coincided with MLK Day.
(To answer your question: Wendy’s chili… that’s what we ended up having for lunch. Wonderful… but not Chick-fil-A.)
