It’s always fun to see Jasper change. To watch it attempt to reinvent itself every 6-7 years.

Drivers motoring toward Jasper on Industrial Parkway have likely noticed a new electronic billboard welcoming them to town with the words “Our Doors Are Always Open.”

Mayor Sonny Posey, who had a hand in fine-tuning the billboard’s language, said it is not meant to replace the city’s slogan, “Working People Working Together.” Rather, it is an advertising promotion directed at both casual visitors and business officials who come to Jasper.
