Karl Rove spoke light night at Mississippi College’s annual fundraiser.
Anybody here in attendance?

After requesting suggestions last fall, Damages and Friday Night Lights were given to us by my mom and dad at Christmas, and we’ve become highly addicted to both.
Recently started watching…
- Damages (thanks Karen!)
Friday Night Lights (thanks Ernest, Karen, John, Brooke)
Have the craving to begin…
- True Blood (suggested by brother Aaron)
Weeds (suggested by many - loved by Paige)
Dexter
Six Feet Under
Suggestions? Thoughts? Do we need to avoid/add-to anything on this list?

The Seattle Sounders FC sold-out their second home game, Saturday. They also won their second game, which was their second shutout.
…what’s happening to us?
Chelsea and I even rushed home Saturday night after our movie to catch the second half on TV.
What made our first experience so much fun was at atmosphere that rivaled that of a European match. [Note: See video clips of my first European match here and here -- flares and M80s included.] That feeling is being echoed by visiting teams as well.
“We’ve talked about this place becoming a fortress for us,” said coach Sigi Schmid, who clearly sees a 12th-man advantage on a par with their bigger house brethren, the Seahawks. During the pregame, he greeted Salt Lake’s coach, Jason Kreis, and asked a question:
“What do you think of the atmosphere?”
He quoted Kreis: “Unbelievable.”
The fact that Arcade Fire is playing in the background makes it all the better.
Southern Miss will hold a scrimmage this Friday, March 27th at Madison Central HS in Madison, Miss. at 5:30 PM.
There are lots of jokes that could go with this…
If it seems a bit slow around her this week… it is. Aaron came into town ergo we’re running around doing fun things ergo I’m taking off a day of work to do said fun things ergo I’m trying to squeeze 40 hours of work into 4 business days rather than 5 ergo I’m tired…
Luckily, Obama held another press conference and it put me right to sleep.
I’m on a waffle kick lately. I prefer Eggos… Homestyle, with a moderate side of syrup.
Breakfast? Lunch? Dinner? Waffles.
Chelsea’s offering to steam some vegetables? Waffles.
Leftover pizza from the night before? Waffles.
Anybody else on a ‘kick’ lately?
Post a link on the following topic: horses.
Humor me.

Stimulus? U.S. to buy Chinese condoms, ending 300 Alabama jobs. Barack rhymes with something… but this is a family blog, and, well I just can’t type that.
That’s the dilemma for the folks at the U.S. Agency for International Development, which has distributed an estimated 10 billion U.S.-made AIDS-preventing condoms in poor countries around the world.
But not anymore.
In a move expected to cost 300 American jobs, the government is switching to cheaper off-shore condoms, including some made in China.
A rather intense sermon from Sunday night’s church service on Men & Marriage. Women & Marriage was not as intense, but just as interesting.
Three years ago today I returned home from my 6-week trek through Europe. It’s only fitting that Karen Howell, Joy Gribble, and Amanda Taylor are traversing Italy with Brooke Johnson.
Their adventures are being chronicled on Brooke’s blog.
