Authentic BBQ at Dixie’s, complete with sweet tea. The line can usually be up to one hour long… we lucked out, barely beating the crowd. Included in that crowd was a woman who used to live in Cullman, AL whose father used to work at the Daily Mountain Eagle in Jasper.

Sunday afternoon was spent in Top Pot, where I just happened to sit down beside two people on blind date. They had nothing in common. He was into her, and she wasn’t into him. It did not go well. I pretended to be reading the entire time in order to enjoy the most awkward of conversations I’ll hear this week.
