Having a blog that is your actual name, you open up your life in a way that opens to the door to compliments and criticism. There are days when I post a few photos of the wife an I on a road trip, or my personal thoughts on politics, etc etc etc.
Then there are days where I post something a little more personal. Sometimes it’s deep, sometimes it’s emotional, and sometimes it’s odd. This is an odd post.
After stubbing my toe in my inaugural indoor soccer game, I came to find the I’d burst the blood vessels under my big toe. I went to the podiatrist who informed me that removing the nail now was better than letting it slowly fall off later.
They numbed my foot, pulled out equipment that closely resembled a mini-shoehorn, slid the mini-shoehorn under my toe, lifted, and off poped the toenail.
This is the before picture. Follow the jump for the afters.
