Fodor’s came out with a new slew of free travel guides yesterday.
I love Fodor’s guides. They’re free and very informative, depending on where you’re traveling to.
A question I do not mind answering, but one that can consume too much time once I begin explaining and others begin asking questions.
London, England was my starting point, then I worked south, going somewhat-counterclockwise to Paris, France… Bern, Switzerland… Florence, Italy… Torino, Italy… Pisa, Italy… Rome, Italy… Cortona, Italy… Venice, Italy… Vienna, Austria… Budapest, Hungary… Prague, Czech Republic… Berlin, Germany… Amsterdam, The Netherlands… Bruges, Belgium… and back to London, England.

I learned to ski on the side of a mountain in Alabama. The “resort” had one run, it was blown (fake) snow, and you got to the top by hanging onto a plastic bar attached to a motorized rotating wire.
Over my teen years, not one year went by without a weeks jolt to Colorado, West Virginia, or North Carolina.
However, things have changed and I’ve gotten busy. But for those of you headed to take on fresh power this year, some links for you.

This is a pretty funny article posted on College Humor back on November 2. Read the whole article to get the full effect, I only posted pieces to stay in-line with copyright laws.
Again, not-so-familiar with this Facebook thing, read more here.
Do not put up a picture of you shirtless
Do not try to friend your entire high school
Do not put up a picture of you drinking - You enjoy alcohol, we get it. You’re in college: this is not uncommon.
Do not forget to insert a picture – If you don’t have a picture loaded, you will be considered ugly by default.
No, magazines do not count as books. That’s why they are called magazines – “Maximâ€, “Not a big reader†or “NEthing by Nicholas Sparks†are not acceptable answers for the Favorite Book section.
Do not friend random people
Having a truck-load of friends doesn’t automatically make you look cool - You may think that your 341 friends makes you look awesome, but we can see right through that to the pathetic little person you are. You’re not fooling anyone.
Never include “Whatever I Can Get” in your dating status – Unless you’re really ugly, then I could understand for settling for “whatever you can get†which usually translates to a drunken freshman even uglier than you are.
It’s okay to be friends with fake celebrity profiles like David Hasselhoff and Jesus Christ
Do not overload on the corny quotes - “..Dance like no one’s watching, sing like…†Stop. Just stop.
Do not dedicate your Facebook profile to your girlfriend or boyfriend

After my post on wireless Internet on planes yesterday I recieved a couple of emails about other locations you can find an internet connection.
WiFi Connections in Hotels
WiFi Connections in Airports
WiFi Connections in Cafes

This is a very cool archive of the ‘Top 100 Speeches by Rank.’
Most of the speeches have audio clips of the speeches, many of them in their entirety.
Who does the number one spot go to? Martin Luther King, Jr.’s ‘I Have A Dream‘ of course.
I doubt anyone would argue with that.

I’ve always had a thing for logos. Alright, I’ll say it… they intrigue me.
So much effort for such a small, intangible item.
I stumbled across a directory of more than 5,000 logos from around the world. Enjoy.

UFO’s.
You’ve probably never seen one. But you kinda wish you could, right?
Well, if little green men happen to come trouncing through your bedroom any night in the near future, please share the experience with others.
This is a pretty cool application that uses Google Maps to mark UFO sightings from the National UFO Reporting Center.

You ever been watching television and caught a glimpse of a celebrity wedding ring?
Without fail, someon in the room always manages to say: “I wonder how much that thing costs.”
Estimated worth: $2.1-$5 million
Estimated worth: $1 million
Estimated worth: $200,000
Estimated worth: $200,000
Estimated worth: $47,000

Yes, we’ve all tried to do it. And while its duplication maybe quite difficult, it is not impossible.
Top Secret Recipes points us to a few ingredients in which everyones favorite after-burger dessert might (might) be duplicated.
If it works for anyone, let me know. I’ll stick to a 99 cent drive-through until then.
