We leave first thing tomorrow morning flying back to Jackson, Mississippi for the wedding of Elizabeth Gibbons and David Thompson.
I’ll be around campus most of Friday, stopping by offices for a few meetings, and we’ll most likely be eating lunch Friday around noon at Two Sisters — you’re more than welcome to join.
For those attending the Pinelake Christmas program on Saturday afternoon, give me a heads-up as I’m planning on attending the 3:30 show.

Turns out I’ll be having to spend another 24 hours in Mississippi. Other than an unexpected delay in my return home, things have been lovely thus far.
I was going to start a list of all the people I had over the last 3 days… but the list got too long, and we all know about my spelling mishaps as of late.
Highlights:
Brock and Lacey started dating in middle school (no, seriously) and here they are, 22-years-old and married.
Such a fun wedding. Such a cute couple.
She looked like she’d had one-too-many doughnut holes herself… but I was still flattered.
But we did get to see Deuce McAllister, Drew Brees, and MC alum Fred McAfee.
I’ll be in the great state of Mississippi for the next 5 days for a wedding, meetings and much needed catch-up time with many of you kiddies.
I’m gonna try-out this new mobile-Facebook-photo-upload-thingy along the road so stalk me and see if I upload anything worthy of complementing.
I’ll be on campus at MC for a couple of meetings on Monday. If you’re on campus, give me a call.
The wedding of Natalie Carmichael at Gabrella Manor in Birmingham was a veritable “who’s who” of Walker High School.
It was a blast to have all of us in one place. Only someone like Natalie could attract such a crowd.

The shining moment, without a doubt, was when Natalie was comng down the aisle and was caught off-guard when she saw Ken Holiday. She got a humongous grin on her face and said, “Ken!” It was just too classic.
Thanks to Holly for the dance we shared. Sorry to her father who thought my hand was drifting toward her buttocks. I’m a gentleman… you should know that.

Turns out that Katharine McPhee is gonna be singing at TomKat’s wedding!

Reportedly, McPhee met Holmes at the Church of Scientology in Los Angeles and they hit it off.

recieve a long-awaited double lung transplant. She's getting married

We then dug into the closets to unleash old videos from high school and Alabama’s Junior Miss 1996. Oh. My. Gosh. Seriously… have fashions changed that much? Have cliche answers run their course this fast? Were those the best girls each county could send to Montgomery to represent at the state level?

You people ever heard of two kids just breaking-up? It happens… alot. Actually, from the look of our country’s divorce rates, maybe if more people decided to split ways before they got hitched our families might be in a little better shape.
So now, when people ask me what happened to “that girl”, I simply tell them: “We broke-up. We did it for the kids.“
I had the corn & crab bisque with jambalaya, crawfish etouffee, and fried green tomatoes. John Byars, Stephanie Hannah, Kristy Beall, and Andy Byars enjoyed their meal as well as we dined over discussions of weddings and prom. Yes… prom.
