I joined Atlanta Tech Village as an advisor
With 300 early-stage startups and 1,000 members, Atlanta Tech Village is America's 4th largest tech hub. I'll be an advisor on Growth Marketing, Leadership & Culture, and Fundraising Preparation.
For the past decade, the Village has been home to most of the brightest teams and the best startups in the Southeast.
The Village has been home to Calendy, Salesloft, Terminus; practically a who's who of Atlanta unicorns. It's also home to the next round of winning teams, like Bark and Sunday.
I've spent the last two Fridays working from the Village, spending the mornings available for Office Hours in the Community Room, and using the rest of the space to work from for the remainder of the day.
Though Covid lingers, people are returning, the occupancy being 90%, down slightly from 100% pre-Covid. I miss the office. I think most builders do too.
I like how Aly Merritt, said it in her announcement joining the Village as its new Managing Director.
"I believe in the power of the serendipitous interactions and collaborations that happen in the halls and elevators.”
The remote world is here to stay, but the high-value tech hubs, incubators, and accelerators aren’t going anywhere.
