The biggest inhibitor of progress is perfectionism

In startups, the biggest inhibitor of progress is perfectionism.

"We need to make a few more changes!"

No, you don't.

"These additional 27 features matter."

No, they don't.

"Apple only ships perfect products. We need to think like Apple!"

No, you don't. The first iPhone was revolutionary, but it still shipped when it didn't have an app store... or GPS... or the ability to record videos... or the ability to send photos in text messages... or the ability to copy and paste... or even a darn flashlight.

At a certain point, perfectionism is procrastination.
