2022 Coffee

Everyone is a snob about something.
Coffee is my something.

I’ve made a map of my favorite 51 coffee shops I visited in 2022.

When I finished this list, I thought, “Fifty-one seems like a lot.” It is a lot, but as I said… coffee is my something.

The criteria:

  • Be a coffee shop, or a bakery that specializes in coffee.

  • Make incredible coffee of any type.

The ambiance, the seating, the internet quality… they don’t matter if the brew is bad. So while I appreciate incredibly cozy spots and strong wifi, they don’t make the list unless the coffee is stellar.

Top 3

A Top 50 list is fine, but I can’t stop thinking about these three places.

  1. Tuesday Coffee + Shoppe in Marietta, Georgia
There are few things better in the OTP than the ITP, but this tiny, perfect shop is one of them.

  2. Small Victory in Vancouver, British Columbia
A top-tier bakery — likely the best croissant I’ve ever purchased — with top-tier coffee on the brick streets of Yaletown.

  3. Pilot Coffee Roasters in Toronto, Ontario
Tucked away in Union Station, Pilot was my daily stop, whether passing through on the subway or en route to the AL Wild Card Series.
