The market will decide

It doesn't matter who thinks they're right. Often, there is no "right" or "wrong." There are options, and it's left up to the market to decide.

"If we succeed, they'll buy 'em, and if we don't, they won't."

Make your decision. Stand in your conviction. The market will decide.

During one of Steve Jobs's last interviews (2010 D8 Conference), the first 15 minutes of the conversation was dedicated to Adobe Flash.

Flash!

One of the most brilliant minds in the history of technology and business was in what felt like his last days, and the first 15 minutes of the conversation were wasted on discussing Flash.

That's how important this was at the time. It *was* a big deal when the iPad debuted, and there were giant gaps in the browsing experience where a Flash experience was placed, but the market decided that it wasn't as important as many of us thought.
