A shortlist of creative employee benefits I’ve seen from startups recently.
Nectar is “Pipe for Airbnb Superhosts” and an on-brand employee benefit is an annual “work-cation” stipend to work remotely for one week from an Airbnb of the employee’s choice.
Arrived employees get a monthly cash bonus to invest in Arrived properties so that they can start building passive income.
MaxRewards frequently flies in all remote employees to Atlanta for a week of building in person, team dinners, and team outings.
Maybe provides a “Minimum Vacation Policy” where team members are expected to take at least 4 weeks off per year.
Tonic provides employees with a One Medical membership.
Pauline Yang, a Partner at Altimeter Capital discussed “sweetening the deal” in offers by way of “cashless exercise, shorter vesting timeline, fewer transfer restrictions”.
