Marketers: Remove the word ‘help’

If you want your marketing to do more, remove the word ‘helps’ from copywriting.

Instead of saying, “Our app helps get parents a babysitter.” say, “Get a sitter in seconds.”

Instead of saying, “Our flowers help make your big day better.” say, “Flowers for the big day or just every day.”

Instead of saying, “Our app helps you track your credit card spending and rewards.” say, “Track your spend and rewards effortlessly.”

People don’t want something that helps.
People want something that does.
